SRIP Factories of the Future

Center of Research Innovation Partnership at the Jožef Stefan Institute is coordinator of Strategic Research-Innovation Partnership SRIP Factories of the Future

The operation is partly financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund. The operation is carried out within the framework of the investment priority: “Innovation society of knowledge” and the specific objective RSO1.1 “Research and improvement of research and innovation capacities and deployment of advanced technologies”.

Advanced green technologies

Plasma technologies represent a key environmentally friendly technological process for products with increased added value, as they replace classic wet chemical processes. In addition to the development of computer technologies, sensor technologies are fundamental for the development of autonomous and smart systems. Their mastery is key to the development of intelligent production systems, as well as smart end products, since it is precisely intelligent sensor technologies that enable the production of complex products with new functions and capacities. The development of new materials plays an important role in improving the quality of life. In Slovenia, modern inorganic materials (magnetic and oxide materials) have an important place at the research level. The development extends from the field of electronics, energy to engineering materials.
