Within the framework of the mentioned VVV, SRIP ToP involves Slovenian research groups with competences in the field of smart factories, artificial intelligence, intelligent business processes, automation and robotization, smart tools, modern materials, advanced technologies, prominent companies in the field of manufacturing turnkey factories and end users of systems and vertical integration services in the area of Factories of the Future. In this way, we can crystallize the actual capabilities of research groups and others and the needs of Slovenian industry in the context of factories of the future (through the proposals of participating companies and knowledge of the domain of factories of the future from participating academic institutions), define strategic development guidelines and evaluate the possibilities for joint development and implementation of the necessary new technologies and service. With the aim of connecting the product, process, people and business into a comprehensive system, the aforementioned vertical value chains (VVC) were formed within the framework of the strategic partnership, which focus on the aforementioned focus areas.
